Eligibile children are from birth to age five, depending on the service area in which they live. Families with low-income are eligible for Head Start and Early Head Start services. The Head Start Family Income Guidelines for 2005 are available at: http://www.headstartinfo.org/publications/im05/im05_01.htm.  Children from families receiving public assistance (TANF or SSI) are eligible for Head Start and Early Head Start services regardless of income. Children in foster care are Head Start eligible, regardless of family income. Ten percent of enrollments are offered to children with disabilities. Children who come from families with slightly higher income may be able to participate in Head Start when space is available. Head Start is not a Nebo School District program. It is administerred locally by Mountainland Head Start, 264 W. 300 North, Provo 84601. Please call them for enrollment information at 375-7981 .

Head Start has a classroom serving 4 year old children (sometimes 3 year olds) at Goshen Elementary School including eligible students living in the Santaquin, Goshen and Genola areas.
