National Family Week - November 18-24, 2007

Tips for TV Watching: The U.S. Department of Education has a few tips. Some of them for television are: monitor your child's watching, pick shows you can watch as a family, plan other activities such as crafts, reading, writing instead of watching TV, avoid using TV as a reward or punishment (it give TV too much importance), help your child realize the difference between make believe and the real world.

Tips for Computer Use: Some ideas for parents regarding the computer would be to place your computer in the family room or another well traveled area (computers in the bedroom can have a negative effect on children), monitor how long your child is on the computer, limit time if it is too much, watch what they are watching, playing, or doing on the computer.
