Internships are part of the Work-based Learning Program. They provide an opportunity for qualified junior and senior students to voluntarily train in a career field of their choice. The goals of an internship are:

* Build awareness of the broad range of career options available.

* Assist students in gaining confidence in their ability to be successful.

* Expose students to workplace technology.

* Save students time and money by reducing the amount of "sampling" to be done in their higher education.

* Make contacts for meaningful work opportunities.

Participating students must apply and be approved by the Work-based Learning Coordinator before being allowed to register for an internship.
