October challenge: find examples in your life of the golden rule; how does it relate to me

Identify the golden rule in a story or book plot, illustrate it to hang in the hall by the dyptch

Find the golden rule in an interaction with a friend

Give out a golden high flyer award to reward using the golden rule in a behavior choice.(golden star on a high flyer )

When talking to a student, thank them for using the golden rule.  I listen to you because you  listened to me. (the reverse is true too.  I will listen to teacher because then teacher will listen to me.)

Talk about the golden rule before an assembly

Have a golden rule show and tell month.  Students share stories about interactions where the golden rule happened.

Examples:  I helped mom then she helped me.  I played with my brother and he played with me.

Measure a story using the golden ruler

Analyze a situation using cause and effect then change the ending by replacing the cause and effect with the golden rule.
